An insider on the set of the new “Sex and the City” movie says that actress Sarah Jessica Parker was excited to be shooting at the Cafe Carlyle recently because her entire courtship with husband Matthew Broderick occurred there.

She said, ‘This is where we had our first dates, listening to Bobby Short play. We must have seen him 10 times,’” an insider told us. When Hudson was clueless as to who Short was, Parker quickly rustled up a couple of CDs of the late, great jazzman and gave her a quick education.

Well, it appears that those of you who have e-mailed me in the past telling me that my heart was the darkest place on earth were wrong once again. As was my reply to those e-mails which stated that your mom’s asshole was the darkest place on earth because of its innate ability to suck in every penis around it like a black hole.

Yes, according to this random piece of fluff masquerading as even more subversive “Sex and the City” advertising, some place deep in the heart of New York City called Cafe Carlyle is the darkest place on earth if only because Matthew Broderick somehow managed to endure countless dates with Sarah Jessica Parker there and never once tried stake her through the heart with his salad fork.

As for the second darkest place on earth, I guess we should automatically assume that it’s the Broderick-Parker home — particularly the bedroom — or, again, your mother’s asshole if, of course, your mother is Sarah Jessica Parker and she’s standing next to her bed wondering where Matthew is.
