The Blog You Love To Hate
About the site
The Blog You Love To Hate exists solely to make fun of as many celebrities as possible, while purposely offending anyone who takes life too seriously. It is a place where celebrity gossip and entertainment news is reported as accurately as possible before drowning it in a bitter vat of spit and vinegar masquerading as satiric commentary. It is a place fueled by the mind of one man and one man only. A man I like to call Erich von Stroheim.
About the author
Erich von Stroheim is widely regarded as one of the greatest film directors of the silent era. Born in 1885, von Stroheim directed close to a dozen films between 1919 and 1933 before leaving Hollywood for France in 1936. His 1924 masterpiece “Greed” is considered by many to be one of the great losses in cinema history after MGM re-cut his nine-hour version to just over two and destroyed the rest of the footage.
Known as “The Man You Love To Hate” because of the villainous roles he took on as an actor, von Stroheim spent his later years writing two novels and starring in films such as “Grand Illusion” and “Sunset Blvd.” He died in 1957 at the age of 71.
In April of 2005, a man known only as Christopher exhumed the impeccably dressed body of Erich von Stroheim and brought him back to life using the unyielding powers of Voodoo and Tanqueray. Now 121-years-old and still badly decomposing, von Stroheim spends most of his days writing this blog from a tub full of ice and praying to god that if something has to fall off next, let it not be his penis.
